No Hope?
`None
have fallen so low, none are so vile, but that they may find
deliverance in Jesus. No cry from a soul in need, though it fail of
utterance in words, will be unheeded. Those who consent to enter
into covenant with God are not left to the power of Satan or to the
infirmity of their own nature.' (DA258)
|
`Every
soul, however degraded by sin, is in God's sight accounted precious.'
(COL194) |
`Whenever
we come to the throne of God to ask His mercy, we may look up, and
behold the rainbow of promise, and find in it assurance that our
prayers shall be answered.' (ST10-10-92)
We can do
this with confidence for `the
chain that has been let down from the throne of God is long enough
to reach to the lowest depths. Jesus is able to lift the most
sinful out of the pit of degradation, and to place them where they
will be acknowledged as children of God, heirs with Jesus to an
immortal inheritance.' (7T229)
|
`It
was love for sinners that led Jesus to pay the price of
redemption.' (PK692) |
`Do
you feel that because you are a sinner you cannot hope to receive
blessing from God? Remember that Jesus came into the world to save
sinners. We have nothing to recommend us to God; the plea that we
may urge now and ever is our utterly helpless condition, which makes
His redeeming power a necessity. Renouncing all self-dependance, we
may look to the cross of Calvary and say: "In my hands no price I
bring; Simply to Thy cross I cling.'' ' (MH65)
`Jesus
teaches that even those who are indifferent to the claims of God are
the objects of His pitying love. Every soul, however degraded by
sin, is in God's sight accounted precious.' (COL194)
`Marvelous
will be the transformation wrought in him who by faith opens the
door of the heart to the Saviour.’ (MH93)
|
`When
your duties seem stern and severe, and your burdens too heavy to
bear, remember that for your sake I endured the cross, despising the
shame. When your heart shrinks from the trying ordeal, remember that
your Redeemer lives to make intercession for you.' (DA659) |
All
you need to do is to take up the Word of Scripture and learn of your
Maker. `Meditate day and night upon His
character. Then you will see His beauty and rejoice in His goodness.
Your heart will glow with a sense of His love. You will be uplifted
as if borne by everlasting arms. With the power and light that God
imparts, you can comprehend more and accomplish more than you ever
before deemed possible.’ (MH514)
`However
small your talent, God has a place for it.' (COL360)
